What are the available wall finishes for climate of our country?

There are many ways wall can have finishings. From the material use, wall finishes can be classified as below.
1. Timber finishes - wood panelling. From its name, it is a decorative treatment done with wood panels on the wall with various designs. The materials used can be plywood or wood laminated with veneer or industrial products.
2. Cement plastered finishes - cement with mortar. It is like cement concrete, with combination of cement, mortar, sands and water in certain proportion and apply onto brick wall or masonry manually to achieve a smooth surface or sand faced finish.
3. Wall laminates - this industrial sheets come in the form of sheets with various designs glued or fevicol onto plywood.
4. Tile cladding - different tiles are used for tile cladding onto walls. Ceramic tiles, granite, marble, or vitrified tiles (waterproofing tiles) or even made of glass.
5. Marble powder finishes - very smooth, like flooring. This finish is obtained by mortar or marble powder, mixed in white cement and water manually applied to the wall.
6. Sand texture finishes - covered with sand, fine grains of sand can drop off the wall.
7. Pebbles finishes - using small pebbles to wall on a layer of cement mortar. It is used externally for the combination of gardens and landscaping.
8. Wallpaper finishes - can be various designs and colours. Sheets of industrial papers with adhesive is glue onto the wall which is usually a cement plastered finish.
9. Gypsum plaster finishes - it is like plaster of Paris finish, but more durable and more fine.
10. Stained glass finishes - stained glasses with different designs and colours with itching, frosting and glass pasting.
11. Acoustical finishes - sound proof walls. Mineral fiberboard is a common substrate used with fabrics, wood or acoustical tile to control acoustic within the walls of the room.
