How is the rates for calculation of Annual Rent payable to the Land and Survey Department of Sarawak?

Like in West Malaysia, there is Cukai Pintu for houses, and calculated as a percentage of total annual value of the property. In Sarawak, it is based on the following table:

An Annual Rent is due for payment on the anniversary date of registration of title / lease or the date stipulated by the superintendent.

Failure to pay on time will be subject to a 50% surcharge of the annual rent in arrears and will be added to the amount due.
